About This Guide

This guide is organized in a number of ways to facilitate intuitive access to the information you seek.

The guide is meant to integrate user input, but not be a direct wiki throughout. New and more detailed information, article revisions and updates and site designs are all encouraged and invited to be contributed to the site editors & administrators.

You can explore in a linear fashion with the Table of Contents, search for definitions and terms in the glossary, or browse the information in the different category blocks: Production, Distribution, Marketing & Promotion and Business.

You can find opinion, diaries and advice from our experts in the Blogs and you can interact with other users in the forums.

The core of the site is a step-by-step guide to the entire process of media production, distribution and advertising. This can serve as a checklist for experienced producer, or as a creative primer, helping you know which questions to ask and have sources to find the information you need.

In addition, we will be recruiting industry professionals to contribute regularly to the information base. If you have a suggestion of someone you believe would be interested and an appropriate inclusion as a contributing member, please send us the suggestion.

All site content will be verified and sourced before inclusion within the guide, except in the forums - information in these directly user-editable forum areas may not be reliable.
